Abergeldie are recruiting a Construction Supervisor in a full-time position for the NSW, Sydney Rehabilitation team. To be considered for the role you will have experience in delivering and managing Water asset projects to achieving safe, timely and profitable completion. 

The position will require working closely with our Joint Venture partners whilst at all times adhering to Abergeldie’ safety policies and procedures. With a large volume of works in a long term contract in Sydney, the role will consist of managing multiple projects and working with the Project Managers and Engineers to effectively manage resources and deliver quality results.

Your responsibilities

  • A positive and pro-active approach towards teamwork and willingness to learn.
  • Sound planning and organisational skills including strength in providing look ahead programs.
  • The ability to engage with subcontractors, and to communicate with people at all levels at all levels to ensure productivity, compliance and drive results.
  • Ensure compliance with Site Safety Rules and Safety Work Method Statements.
  • Excellent planning skills.
  • Attention to detail with a commitment to quality.

What you need

  • Minimum of 5 years of construction experience in a leading hand or supervisory role.
  • Demonstrate experience in managing a team of people; performance management of subcontractor’s suppliers and direct labour.
  • Skilled in ability to understand drawings, provide, review and implement final plans.
  • Excellent planning of works to manage all resources, suppliers and subcontracts.
  • Client management experience.
  • General Construction Induction (White Card)- Essential.
  • Cert IV Civil Construction Supervision (Desirable).
