Abergeldie designs and delivers multi-disciplinary rail projects including track formation reconditioning, points and crossing renewals, 1500V OHW, HV traction, station infrastructure, bridges and rail infrastructure: the complex infrastructure to build better communities. Abergeldie also designs and constructs traction power substations, zone substations, buried and overhead cables, cable tunnels and conduits.
Your responsibilities
- Assist with the preparation of site construction budgets and reports
- Manage and report on assigned projects
- Assist in preparation of notices, claims and other commercial documentation
- Prepare financial and progress status in accordance with the project requirements
- Establish and update construction programs
- Ensure risks are identified and that they are managed throughout the term of the project and conveyed clearly to project staff
- Work in conjunction with other Project Engineers and Site Engineers on the program to develop project construction plans and methodology
- Manage staff and subcontractors to achieve a team and collaborative environment to meet project objectives
- Responsible for effective implementation of Rail Safety Management and Systems
- Ensure compliance with PQP, OH&S, Environmental and Railway Safety Legislation requirements
What you need
- Minimum 7 years' engineering experience working in multidisciplinary rail civil projects
- Bachelor’s in civil engineering (or similar)
- Proven ability to manage and deliver complex projects
- Ability to assess and determine commercial impacts on project requirements
- Knowledge of rail construction and operations
