Mechanical Engineer

About the role
Reporting to the Project Manager you will provide technical support and input regarding mechanical components of projects, including:
- Day to day project engineering
- Design & constructability review
- Cut ins/ Shutdowns procedures (Development, review, input)
- Work procedures (Development, review, input)
- Commissioning Plans, Detailed Inspections Plans (Development, review, input, execution)
The role will be Gold Coast based. We are looking for team players and technically minded individuals with a mechanical engineering degree who can demonstrate experience working in the Wastewater/Water industry and in Commissioning of mechanical equipment.
Your responsibilities
- Management, programming, and technical support for the delivery of delegated projects in partnership with the project team.
- Construction programming.
- Cost forecasting and reporting.
- Subcontractor selection & management.
- Quality assurance and control.
What you need
- Bachelor's Degree in Civil or Mechanical Engineering, or equivalent
- Experience in both mechanical and civil engineering will be highly regarded
- Mechanically (Technical) minded individual
- Proven delivery under time constraints
- Problem Solving Skills
- Minimum of 4 years’ experience on site delivering Wastewater / Water industry projects.
- Demonstrated capability in development of innovative concepts for solutions to technical, complex issues.
- Proficiency in MS Project.
- Commitment to contributing to a high-performance culture.
- Commitment to contributing to a zero harm safety culture.
