Abergeldie designs and delivers multi-disciplinary rail projects including track formation reconditioning, points and crossing renewals, 1500V OHW, HV traction, station infrastructure, bridges and rail infrastructure: the complex infrastructure to build better communities. Abergeldie also designs and constructs traction power substations, zone substations, buried and overhead cables, cable tunnels and conduits.
You will be based in Wallendbeen for the project duration of approx. 12 months.
Your responsibilities
- Assisting with the management, programming, and technical support for the delivery of rail civil, rail system and station building works
- Develop and maintain site registers
- In conjunction with the Project Engineer, Project Manager and Supervisor prepare daily programming of site activities
- Provide the Project Engineer / Project Manager with relevant documentation received from either the client or authorities in a timely manner
- Review and check all new drawings, instructions and documentation received from either the client or authorities
- Compilation of incoming material certification records, ITPs and Checklists
- Support development of commercial documentation Develop appropriate Inspection Test Plans (ITPs) for use with the project
What you need
- Minimum 1 year engineering experience working in multidisciplinary rail civil projects
- Bachelor’s in civil engineering (or similar)
- Knowledge of rail construction and operations (desirable)
- Must be willing to work weekends
- LAHA and travel/regional work as required
- Monday to Friday regional working for 12 months
