About us
Abergeldie is a locally owned contractor with close to 30 years’ industry experience in Australia and New Zealand. We design and deliver projects in the Water, Bridges, Transport, Underground, Energy and Remediation industry sectors. Projects include dams, bridges, tunnels, water and wastewater treatment process facilities, rail infrastructure, mining infrastructure, electrical substations, marine works and pipeline rehabilitation: the complex infrastructure needed to build better communities.
About the role
To support and achieve our growth plans in Queensland, we are looking for an experienced Project Engineer to work on a diverse range of complex and challenging water and wastewater infrastructure projects in Brisbane and surrounding areas.
As a Project Engineer at Abergeldie, you will provide your technical expertise across a range of projects and support the Project Manager to deliver exceptional outcomes for our clients. Day to day your responsibilities will include.
- Monitoring project progress, identifying potential issues, and implementing corrective actions as needed.
- Coordinating with cross-functional teams and stakeholders to ensure project milestones are met.
- Collaborating with contractors, suppliers, and consultants to procure necessary equipment and services.
- Preparing project documentation.
- Providing regular updates and reports to project stakeholders, including management and clients.
- Ensure adherence to safety processes and promoting a safety-first culture.
What you’ll bring to the team
You will be an experienced Project Engineer with a strong background in water and wastewater infrastructure projects. Experience in brownfield treatment facilities design, construction, and commissioning will be highly regarded. You will have relevant tertiary qualifications in Civil Engineering or Construction Management and be a natural problem solver and creative thinker who enjoys tackling complex design / construction challenges.
