About us
Abergeldie is a locally owned infrastructure contractor with 30 years of experience delivering complex projects across a variety of sectors, including water, utilities, bridges and roads, community infrastructure, rail and energy. The complex infrastructure needed to build better communities.
About the opportunity
We’re looking for an experienced Project Planner to join our Infrastructure team in Sydney. Reporting to the Planning Manager, you’ll work closely with Project Managers, Engineers and site teams to develop, manage and update detailed project schedules using Primavera P6 and Microsoft Project.
You’ll be responsible for progress tracking, cost and resource loading, and identifying and analysing delays or risks to ensure our projects stay on time and budget. Your insights will support better planning, reporting and decision-making across the lifecycle of our projects.
This role supports our Infrastructure team and involves working on a number of complex and technically challenging projects. Some of our current projects include the Hill Road Upgrade in Lidcombe, Pitt Town Bypass in Sydney’s northwest, a new super-T bridge over the Lachlan River in Forbes, the New Dubbo Bridge Project, and more, with a strong pipeline of upcoming work.
We’re open to experienced Project Planners as well as Project Engineers who are keen to move into a dedicated planning role. This could be a great opportunity if you’re looking for a different kind of challenge, or more flexibility than site-based roles.
This role is primarily based at our Regents Park office, with travel to project sites as required and hybrid work options available.
What you’ll bring to the team
- Strong experience as a Project Planner on complex infrastructure projects, including roads and bridges.
- High-level proficiency in Primavera P6 and Microsoft Project.
- Experience in EOT and delay analysis, cost/resource loading, and progress reporting.
- The ability to engage with a range of stakeholders to ensure alignment on schedules and deliverables.
- A background in engineering or site-based delivery (preferred)
- A practical, proactive approach and strong attention to detail.
Why you should work with us
Our people are what make Abergeldie successful, and we make sure this is the kind of place where great people enjoy working for the long term. We offer a range of employee benefits including the Abergeldie Bonus Scheme, where eligible employees share in the success of the projects they help deliver. When we deliver winning projects, we celebrate success together.
