Health and Safety Manager NSW
We’re looking for an experienced Health and Safety Manager to take the lead in driving our safety culture across NSW!
About Us
Abergeldie is a majority locally owned contractor with 30 years’ industry experience in Australia and New Zealand. We design and deliver projects in the Water, Bridges, Transport, Underground, Energy and Remediation industry sectors. Projects include dams, bridges, tunnels, water and wastewater treatment process facilities, rail infrastructure, mining infrastructure, electrical substations, marine works and pipeline rehabilitation: the complex infrastructure needed to build better communities.
About the Opportunity
We’re looking for a Health and Safety Manager to take the lead in driving our safety culture across NSW. This role goes beyond compliance - it’s about embedding our safety strategy and systems into day-to-day project delivery, ensuring we not only meet our client and regulatory requirements, but continue to raise the bar for what good looks like on site.
Reporting to the Head of Safety Operations, you’ll provide leadership, guidance and career development support to our team of NSW Safety Advisors. You’ll also work closely with project teams and clients to strengthen relationships, build trust and deliver better safety outcomes.
With projects located across NSW, regular travel will be required. This is a hands-on leadership role where your influence will be felt across multiple projects, helping us maintain our reputation as a contractor that puts people first.
What You’ll Bring to the Team
- Demonstrated experience in a senior safety leadership role within construction or infrastructure.
- Strong knowledge of WHS legislation, systems and accreditations.
- Proven ability to lead and develop a team of safety professionals.
- Excellent client-facing skills with the ability to influence and build strong relationships.
- A collaborative approach, with the drive to improve safety outcomes across multiple projects.
Why You Should Work With Us
Our people are what make Abergeldie successful, and we make sure that this is the kind of place where great people enjoy working for the long term. We have a range of employee benefits, including the Abergeldie Bonus Scheme, where all eligible employees share in the benefits of the projects they have helped to deliver.
