Abergeldie Complex Infrastructure designs and delivers dams, bridges, tunnels, recreation facilities, water treatment and process facilities, pipe rehabilitation, rail and mining infrastructure, electrical substations and marine works to areas across Australia, providing the complex infrastructure needed to build better communities.

Abergeldie are looking for a full time Site Engineer to join our team in Sydney. Experience in water or civil projects is preferred however you must have 2 years (post grad) experience. The position requires a motivated and dynamic candidate with the ability to interpret drawings, manage subcontractors and quality document control. 

Key duties of the role are:

Undertaking mechanical calculations; including process equipment sizing calculations and piping/pumping head loss and flow calculations

  • Mechanical design and overall system design and development
  • Preparing mechanical datasheets, specifications and/or material requisitions
  • Sub-contractor management.
  • Negotiation with and monitor suppliers,
  • Contract management.
  • Provide technical support to Supervisors.
  • Adhere to HSEQ procedures and communicate the safety plan to the project team members including suppliers and subcontractors.
  • Manage and develop relationships with stakeholders.
  • Quality Assurance.
  • Procurement of materials.
  • Consult with sub-contractor and consultants to resolve construction and design issues.

Experience and Qualifications:

  • Bachelor of Engineering
  • Minimum of 2 years post graduate engineering experience in the Australian market.

  • Demonstrated history of delivering project components both on time and on budget.
