Alfred Street Bridge
The Alfred Street Bridge is a new pedestrian and cyclist bridge over the Parramatta River between James Ruse Drive and the Gasworks Bridge. It will be the first true diagonal arch bridge in Australia, providing a striking architectural feature in the Parramatta CBD. The project is a key element within a network of planned pedestrian and cyclist improvements.
Abergeldie is currently delivering the new bridge for City of Parramatta Council, continuing our work for this client on landmark projects in the CBD area including the recent Parramatta Escarpment Boardwalk, also built alongside and above the River.

Here are a few more reasons why you may want to pack up and move!
Australia is beautiful
Australia has some of the most beautiful beaches in the world as well as a myriad of natural wonders, plenty of wildlife, cosmopolitan metropolises, and large expanses of the outback. We’ve also got The Great Barrier Reef, the largest living thing on Earth, which you can even see from outer space!
When you think of Australia (besides kangaroos and koalas) you probably think of sunny beaches and rolling waves – and you’d be right! Did you know if you visited one beach a day, it would take you over 30 years to see them all?
But it is so much more than that. With a rich history dating back 60,000 years, Australia offers a diverse mix of cultures from all over the world.
Our weather is awesome
The famous quote "Beautiful one day, perfect the next" sure hits the nail on the head. We get some of the best weather here in Australia.
Australia is home to tropical, subtropical, desert and temperate climates – we’ve got dewy rainforests, sandy plains, snowy alps and sunny beaches.
The vibe
If there's one thing Aussies are known for, it's our easy-going, friendly attitude and our laid-back outlook on life. It’s the reason you’ll hear the words “no worries, mate” exchanged between strangers on the street. But most of all Aussie culture, is about taking the time to enjoy the good things in life.
And to top it off we get to wear shorts and flip flops most of the year and we BBQ like bosses.
There is so much to do
Whether you’re looking for an adventure atop rugged mountain peaks, a relaxing getaway on the soft sand of the country's best beaches, an outback adventure or unique cultural experience it’s all on offer Down Under.
Getting through all the amazing Australia attractions will take you a lifetime. You will never be bored living here.
