About us
Abergeldie is a locally owned contractor with 30 years’ industry experience in Australia and New Zealand. We design and deliver projects in the Water, Bridges, Transport, Underground, Energy and Remediation industry sectors. About the project
Abergeldie is partnering with Sydney Water to deliver the Castle Hill Water Resource Recovery Facility Compliance Project. This upgrade is part of a larger initiative to connect three treatment plants in Sydney’s North-West, forming the new North West Treatment Hub. The hub will create a more efficient, integrated wastewater system to support growth in the area and help keep local waterways clean.
About the role
Based in Castle Hill and reporting to the Project Manager, you will provide technical support on the mechanical aspects of the project. Key responsibilities include:
- Daily project engineering tasks and technical oversight.
- Undertaking design and constructability reviews.
- Developing and reviewing cut-in and shutdown procedures.
- Developing and reviewing work procedures.
- Creating and executing commissioning and detailed inspection plans.
- Working in partnership with the project team to provide oversight and technical support for the delivery of delegated projects.
- Plan and coordinate construction schedules.
- Cost forecasting and preparation of reports.
- Select and manage subcontractors to ensure project requirements are met.
- Implement quality assurance processes and maintain control standards.
What you'll bring to the team
- Bachelor’s degree in Civil or Mechanical Engineering, or equivalent qualification.
- Experience in both Mechanical and Civil Engineering (highly regarded).
- Experience with Water and Wastewater Treatment Plant (WWTP/WTP) projects.
- Extensive experience as a Project Engineer within the construction sector.
- Proven ability to develop innovative solutions for complex technical challenges.
- Proficient in MS Project.
- Dedication to fostering a high-performance culture.
- Commitment to a zero-harm safety environment.
