About us
Abergeldie is a locally owned contractor with 30 years’ industry experience in Australia and New Zealand. We design and deliver projects in the Water, Bridges, Transport, Underground, Energy and Remediation industry sectors. Projects include dams, bridges, tunnels, water and wastewater treatment process facilities, rail infrastructure, electrical substations, marine works and pipeline rehabilitation: the complex infrastructure needed to build better communities.
About our Water team
We design and deliver water and wastewater asset reliability and renewals, including pumping stations and treatment plants, bulk water asset upgrades and capital infrastructure projects. Our team is extensively experienced across a variety of disciplines including civil, structural, mechanical, electrical, design and process.
About the opportunity
We are looking for an experienced Mechanical Site Engineer to work on a water infrastructure project with Central Coast Council based at Mardi.
As a Site Engineer at Abergeldie, you will provide your technical expertise across a range of projects and support the Project Manager to deliver exceptional outcomes for our clients. Day to day your responsibilities will include.
- In conjunction with the Project Engineer, Project Manager and Supervisor prepare daily programming of site activities.
- Provide the Project Engineer / Project Manager with relevant documentation received from either the client or authorities in a timely manner.
- Maintain a comprehensive and accurate daily diary.
- Monitor and track statutory requirements (e.g. Local Council, EPA etc.) are adhered to on site at all times.
- Raise requisitions and purchase orders for materials and services required for the project in accordance with Contract specifications.
- Track and monitor that materials delivered to site are checked and verified for correct quantity, quality and type ordered.
What you’ll bring to the team
- Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering.
- Experience working as a Site Engineer on water infrastructure projects.
- Demonstrated knowledge and application of Workplace Health and Safety, Environmental Management and Quality Systems.
- Sound planning and organizational skills.
- Progressive thinking and robust project administration capabilities.
