About the West Region Delivery Team
The West Region Delivery Team (WRDT) is a Tier 1 constructor delivering major Sydney Water infrastructure projects in Sydney’s western suburbs. WRDT is a consortium that includes Abergeldie Complex Infrastructure and Fulton Hogan for construction, Programmed for maintenance and facility management, and Stantec and Atlas for design and engineering.
WRDT operates within Sydney Water’s 10-year Partnering for Success (P4S) framework, covering the full project lifecycle - design, construction, and maintenance of water and wastewater assets. Our construction offices are based in Sydney Olympic Park and Prospect.
About the opportunity
Due to new projects and an expanding forward workbook, we are looking for a Project Engineer to join our team, focusing on the construction and rehabilitation of Sydney Water’s wastewater networks.
Reporting to the Project Manager, you will play a key role in the end-to-end delivery of pipe rehabilitation programs, from initial project estimation through to construction.
- Collaborate with the Project Manager, site teams, self-perform crews, and subcontractors to successfully deliver complex sewer pipe rehabilitation projects.
- Ensure compliance with construction safety and environmental regulations, with support from our in-house safety and environment teams.
- Manage interactions with home and business owners, supported by our in-house community and stakeholder teams.
- Prepare, monitor, and update production plans, aligning work with weekly and monthly programs.
- Monitor costs and drive efficiency, ensuring projected costs align with forecasted revenue, with support from our in-house project control teams.
- Conduct and manage quality inspections and records, supported by our in-house quality teams.
- Oversee project completion, including documentation and handover.
- Build and maintain strong client relationships, ensuring effective communication and project alignment.
What You’ll Bring to the Team
- Degree qualification in Engineering, Project Management, or Construction Management.
- Experience in the water and/or wastewater utilities sector is preferred, particularly with water and wastewater pipe networks and associated civil infrastructure.
- Knowledge of safety standards, project coordination, financial management, procurement, and design management.
