Abergeldie is an Australian owned contractor with over 30 years’ industry experience in Australia and New Zealand. We design and deliver projects in the Water, Bridges, Transport, Underground, Energy and Remediation industry sectors. Projects include dams, bridges, tunnels, water and wastewater treatment process facilities, rail infrastructure, mining infrastructure, electrical substations, marine works and pipeline rehabilitation: the complex infrastructure needed to build better communities.

About the opportunity
We’re looking for an experienced Project Manager, based in Brisbane, with a strong background in pavement, earthworks, and road infrastructure to help shape and deliver key upcoming opportunities in Queensland.

As Abergeldie expands its civil infrastructure capability into Queensland, this role presents a unique opportunity to be part of that growth from the ground up. You’ll lead the pre-award phase of major projects - including tender development, stakeholder engagement, and technical leadership - before transitioning into delivery, overseeing the execution of technically complex and high-impact works.

You’ll play a key role in establishing a strong local presence, leveraging your expertise to drive success in a growing market. In close collaboration with our National Infrastructure Leadership Team, you’ll help uphold our high delivery standards while fostering a collaborative, solutions-focused team culture.

What you'll bring to the Team
We’re looking for a technically strong and commercially minded leader who is passionate about delivering high-quality infrastructure and contributing to long-term capability in the Queensland market. 

You will bring:

  • Proven experience leading road and civil infrastructure projects, with deep technical knowledge in bridges, pavements, and earthworks
  • Strong understanding of TMR standards, specifications and delivery models
  • A demonstrated ability to manage the full lifecycle of civil projects - from tendering through to successful delivery
  • Tertiary qualifications in Civil Engineering and current RPEQ registration
  • A leadership style that builds high-performing, collaborative teams and fosters a positive project culture
  • Excellent commercial acumen, stakeholder management skills and a proactive, hands-on approach
  • A forward-thinking mindset and the motivation to play a key role in building Abergeldie’s civil infrastructure capability in Queensland.
